Mimi Cravens-Wilson (1992) is a multidisciplinary artist. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. She currently resides in Portland, OR. She has been an Artist-in-Resident at T.E.X.E.R.E in Tule, Oaxaca, MX and at Villa Capri in Mallorca, ES.
Her background as a painter has influenced her other mediums to celebrate color and how they play with each other. She creates minimal color palettes to challenge herself. They are often a response to the nature around her, or past landscapes from her travels. Intuitively creating shapes and forms for her sculptural work in celebration of and the ephemerality of nature — the ever-evolving.
